Rory Perkins is off to catch fireflies in field behind her grandparents' house. True fact, there is a cornfield in front of my childhood home and behind my own grandparents' house. There are also windchimes, just as you spy in this scene, except Gram has a ton more of them. This first page is perhaps the most inconsistent with the rest of the comic as I developed tools and procedures to capture the look I wanted.
